Ready to Work Career Jump Start Program

The RTW Career Jump Start Program is a new initiative under Building Bridges’ Ready to Work services, specifically designed for individuals with disabilities who are eager to pursue employment but prefer not to attend the traditional day program. This targeted offering provides a flexible, community-based pathway to employment through personalized job readiness training, career exploration, and hands-on support.

Open to participants with any disability, RTW Career Jump Start helps individuals build the confidence, skills, and tools needed to achieve competitive, integrated employment. The program focuses on practical outcomes and is ideal for those who are motivated to work but need structured guidance to take the first step.
Participants in the RTW Career Jump Start Program will:
- Develop essential job search documents, including a resume, cover letter, and master application.
- Practice interview skills and workplace behaviors.
- Receive individualized coaching and job placement assistance.
- Engage in work experiences when available and appropriate.
- Gain support in navigating applications, job fairs, and employer connections.
Weekly sessions include both group workshops and one-on-one coaching, allowing participants to receive tailored support that meets their unique goals and needs. While job coaching is available, support hours will vary based on individual progress and need.
The RTW Career Jump Start Program is not just a class—it’s a launchpad to independence, employment, and purpose for individuals who are ready to work and eager to succeed on their own terms.
