  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Occupational Therapy from an institution accredited by the AMA and NBCOT.
  • Certified and registered by NBCOT.  
  • Licensed by the State of Arkansas State Eligible for enrollment in the Arkansas Medicaid Provider Program.

  • Screen/observe referred consumers.
  • Perform evaluation to determine need for therapy.  If therapy is indicated, development POC.
  • Daily documentation of treatment sessions.
  • Re-evaluation annually and/or before as indicated.
  • Monitor use of adaptive equipment and specific protocols.
  • Attend meetings and trainings when asked.
  • Attend one conference per client annually.
  • Complete the required documentation per BBDCS policies and procedures..
  • Research and stay up to date on best practice.  BBDCS provides $300.0 per year for continuing education.
  • Informs, counsels, and consults with consumer’s family/caregivers and other healthcare workers.
  • Promotes community awareness of BBDCS/therapy programs.
  • Assists therapy coordinator with in-service training for other staff; train staff on appropriate techniques, and interventions.
  • Adhere to BBDCS policies including standards from Medicaid, Insurance, HIPPA, DDS, DHS, and state licensing entities.
  • Use therapy calendar to document change in schedule, vacation, etc.  When adding to the therapy calendar, please email the therapy coordinator.
  • Meet weekly minimum hours to ensure BBDCS sustainability.

  • Assist BCBA with initial and bi-annual comprehensive assessment that describe specific levels of behavior as prescribed by best practice models for all children referred and/or receiving ABA services.
  • Ensure ongoing 1 to 1 and group treatment protocols are implemented repeatedly, frequently, and consistently across environments for all children enrolled in ABA services.
  • Collect, quantify, and analyze direct observational data of treatment plans and adjust as presented by BCBA and as necessary to maintain progress towards treatment goals.
  • Design, establish, manage, and assist BCBA with material preparations for the social learning environment to maximize progress towards treatment goals. Ensure materials and supplies are available and request need supplies/materials.
  • Implement daily practives that maintain compliance with all regulatory standards (Arkansas Medicaid, Private Insurance, DDS, PASSE, and CASP -The Council of Autism Service Providers) in regard to prescribed treatment and collecting and recording data
  • Communicate with BCBA any needs and/or areas of concern regarding treatment protocols, challenging behaviors, data collection, supervision (direct/indirect) or training
  • Communicate and cooperate effectively and respectfully with parents and team members

  • Drivers Sub Drivers should be familiar with highways or street names and numbers for immediate assistance
  • Driver will operate a center vehicle for twice daily bus route/sub-driver as needed/rider will ride as needed. Driver will be prompt and ready at scheduled time. Transportation Coordinator and/or center designee must be notified as soon as possible if unavailable to drive
  • Driver/Sub-Driver will relate all messages from parents to the appropriate staff member;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver will maintain travel log correctly;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver should operate lift before beginning route to ensure it is in working order;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver should know where all safety equipment and paperwork is stored;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver will report all actual or suspected bus malfunctions to the Trasportation Supervisor;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver will supervise and assist loading and unloading consumers as well as getting consumers seated;
  • In the event of a vehicle breakdown, or accident, Driver/Sub-Driver & Rider are responsible for the safety and comfort of the consumers. If no rider is available, driver/sub-driver will remain on bus with consumers until help arrives. If Rider is available, rider will remain with the consumers while is available, driver/sub-driver will remain on bus with consumers until help arrives. If Rider is available, rider will remain with the consumers while the Driver/Sub-driver is away from the vehicle. If there is a danger to remain on the bus, Rider will assist the Driver/Sub-Driver in seeing to the safety of the consumers above all else. Driver/Sub-Driver & Rider will assist in transferring consumers from vehicle to the alternate transportation such as parent car, another center vehicle, etc;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver is responsible for checking each seat before leaving bus. (Leaving a consumer on the bus is considered child/adult neglect and driver will be terminated from employment.)
  • Driver/Sub-Driver will be familiar with established bus regulations and makes every effort to see that these regulations are obeyed;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver will perform other duties in connection with transportation as determined by the Executive Director;
  • Driver/Sub-Driver must have a well- groomed appearance and no jewelry that will interfere with driving duties
  • Driver/Sub-Driver is responsible for the overall appearance of the inside of the bus, i.e. dusting the dash & seats, keeping all loose paper and refuse picked up, etc
